As you can most likely see, I have changed my template for the site. It is actually a step in the eventual progression into being a completely HTML5 compliant site, including markup, CSS3, and using the newest multimedia options available. To that notion, I have created a badge that I hope to soon be able to place at the bottom of the site recognizing that I follow and support the move to HTML5. The badge, as shown below, uses the elements provided by the W3C.

I realize that it isn’t anything overly fancy, but I tend to like it. Hopefully in the near future you will be able to visit this site with the firm safe knowledge that you are viewing it in the best possible way.

I just came across the new trailer for the proposed new Top Gear (America) that will be shown on the History Channel this coming fall. While I very much so anticipate the show, and hope it will be able to deliver the same as the british version does, I also feel as though I know it never will. Im thinking of starting a different sleep cycle for myself.  There are a number of people out there who sleep a whole lot less than the rest of the world. They are known as Poly Phasers, or those who sleep with a polyphasic sleep cycle.  Now, there are a couple of different types of polyphasic sleepers.  There are those who use the “uberman” pattern, and those who use the “everyman” pattern.  Let’s take a look at the two main styles of the polyphasic sleeper.

Tis the season… for snowmobiling! For all of this winter there has been a minimal amount of snow, and for Michigan, that is quite rare. For an area that averages about 40 inches a year, we have only gotten a few inches, much less than 10, maybe even less than 5. But the snowmobile ancestors have been appeased. What does that mean?
